The El Mirage Police Department is now uploading police data to Crimemapping.com. At this site, visitors can enter their address and view incidents in their area, see statistical reports on activity, and register for email alerts. Crime mapping is an exciting tool for citizens to utilize and the Police Department looks forward to hearing your feedback. The following tables depict the number and types of Part I Crimes in El Mirage. Only crimes that are categorized as Part I Crimes by the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reports is included in this section. Part I Crimes include homicide, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft, and arson. These are the official numbers reported to the FBI and do not include cases that have been unfounded.

Crimes not included in the FBI’s Part I categories are counted as a Part II crime. They include simple assaults, forgery/fraud, vandalism, weapons violations, curfew, prostitution, DUI, liquor violations, and many others.
